Monas, monument full of historical meaning of Indonesia

Monas, “Monumen Nasional” stands located in the middle of the lapangan medan merdeka in the center of Jakarta City. Monas built to commemorate the resistance and the struggle of the people of Indonesia won independence from the colonial Dutch East Indies. Monas began in the building in the reign of President Sukarno on August 17, 1961 and began officially on July 12, 1975 by President Soeharto. Read more
