Everglades is an area that most of its territory under water. Located in southern Florida and the climate is Subtropical. during the rainy season most of the Everglades will be under water, whereas when the dry season fires often occur. Everglades itself was declared a national park in 1928 when a developer named Ernest F. Coe founded the Tropical Everglades National Park Association. It was quite a way for the Everglades to officially become a national park in congress in 1934.
A researcher named Marjory Stoneman Douglas released a book entitled The Everglades: River of Grass. after he was researching this area for five years, he describes in detail the history and ecology of south florida.
